We wrap up the Bearing Good News book this week. Studying underlining my lesson now. This lesson is a typical backslapping attaboy affair emphasizing that our work is only sucessful because Jah is blessing our efforts just like how the word continued to grow and spread in Paul's day. Jah never deserts us. Brother Harold Abt and his wife Elsa survived concentration camps by relying on Jah. Paul preached under house arrest, so you can too worm. We need to have a sense of urgency because theres no time to lose and plenty to do in the work of the Lord. If we do our part, we'll be able to rejoice throughout eternity that we had a share in bearing thorough witness about God's kingdom!

This series is dead. Its over. The Yuuzhan Vong couldnt even make it interesting as they're too Trekky. Personally, I'd like them to take an obscure Dark Horse ark, and make a stand alone film. Give Darth Maul, or Boba Fett the story they deserve. Make us forget Darth Vader screaming no like a long term care resident upset because they ran out of apple sauce.

For myself, i generally don't do a link, unless it's about a subject in which i'm really interested.
As far as laziness, it goes both ways. There's times I'm out and about and may post on my Tab which for the life of me I'm yet to figure how to post a hyperlink, or youtube, etc.. So I may just post whatever and hope someone does the rest for me. On subjects that aren't really up my alley, I don't really care if the post a link or not. Although a short summary with the link available in case I want to do some fact checking is appreciated.

i've got a jw at my house right now (unexpectedly) who is talking to my husband.
he keeps on bringing up that only jw's have universal love....that if you go anywhere in the world, you can mention you're a witness & you'll automatically be welcomed and accepted by fellow jw's.

AwSnap, ask him how he knows that no other organization has universal love? Ask him whether he's taken the time to research such a claim, and if so was it outside of WT literature? As a JW still actively doing door to door if a householder askedme that question I'd give a poor response.

That universal love turns into universal hate if you admit to disagreeing with the WT on anything. Reminds me of 2 Tim 3 regarding men being unreasonable and unable to come to any agreement.
Also, why isnt that universal love extended to nonJWs? Even when a JW does something honorable on behalf of a nonJW, often its done to make a witness rather than out of principle.
Where in the Bible does it explicitely state one has to be a JW or part of the WT's organization to gain salvation? There is no organization in the Bible. Jesus said wherever there was two or more in his name, he'd be with them. Did the Ethiopian Eunuch remain within the same organization as Philip?
